Sandy did all she could to rush the turkey, but Rod was ready earlier than the turkey...........

Island Boy In the Water

Manatee (Island Boy) Released At POI

Island Boy was rescued from Port of the Islands, Nursed back to health at Tampa Florida and now being returned to POI. It was really exciting, I was ask to help carry him into the water. He has a buoy on him so we will be able to see if he sticks around.

2007 WIXSON REUNION

The Wixson Reunion was held at Coldwater Lake, northwest of Mt Pleasant. There were 87 present.

The Flint Journal Catch Your Breath 10K

I was able to run this race on July 7th, the race corse went by our old house on Pierce St. ( That was kind of cool ). I was really happy, I beat my Boulder, Boulder time by 8 minutes, I finished at 65 minutes and 32 seconds ( thats unofficial time, but I'm real close if not right on ).

*** ************** Ryan, Al and myself all finished within 9 minutes of each other at 5,319 ft above sea level. Not bad for an old man !!

In the stands at Folsom Field Stadium Colorado University with Mason and Maya right after the race, actually didn't feel to bad.

This is at Al's house just before the race, 6.2 miles and we all finished in respectable times. Over 50 thousand runners, it was wild.

For those of you that don't recognize this, it's right out side our Lanai, this gator was moving from one pond to another look for companionship.
Our swimming pool is just steps to the left of this gator.

I ran my first race in 10 years (long over due), but it felt GOOD !!!!!

USS Gridley

Jan, ( her Mother ) Louise and I drove over to Miami Saturday to the christening of the USS Gridley, it was a very emotional event and we were glad to be able to see it. The USS Gridley is a destroyer, we went aboard after the ceremony. Uncle Gale Shaw helped us obtain tickets, so thanks Gale.
